Once the turkey is in the oven this Thanksgiving morning, there's plenty of time to trot — so to Gayatri Datta's home I drive, and join her for an out-and-back neighborhood trek: leaping across icy-frozen puddles, waving at Bethesda turkey-trot runners, dodging cars, and pausing to pick up yellow golf balls. At the end my nose is crimson from the cold.
